How Nord Security simplified, scaled, and saved on travel management with TravelPerk

Nord Security, a global leader in cybersecurity and privacy solutions, faced rapidly increasing travel management demands when two key events aligned: the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions alongside the fast expansion of the company’s workforce.
During this surge in business travel, the procurement team went from managing between one and five trips a month to more than 60 — with this number only growing. With around 1,900 employees spread across offices in Lithuania, Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands — along with a growing remote workforce — this increase in demand highlighted the cracks in their existing travel management process.

Using the travel agency meant the procurement team had to handle each booking and act as intermediaries to ensure everything went smoothly.
Renata explained how the process became a never-ending cycle; employees submitted travel requests to her, she passed them onto the agency, and then employees would submit new requests, such as changing flight times — starting the process all over again. There was no centralized process and no clear travel policy visibility.

Renata explained that the freedom for employees to book their own trips is important, and how they’re happier with a bigger inventory to choose from. “They’re happy with the options they have with TravelPerk. They can clearly read reviews and see pictures of hotels — and having everything in one place makes it much easier to choose”, she says. 
While employees have more flexibility and freedom, TravelPerk’s centralized platform has helped Nord Security maintain stronger budget control. With travel policies built directly into the system and fewer invoices to manage, TravelPerk’s detailed reports empower the team to analyze spending patterns, understand where money is going, and identify areas for better value — ensuring they stay within budget.

“Now, everyone who doesn't need access is removed. Everyone who needs access is in TravelPerk. And if anything changes, it’s uploaded to TravelPerk — and we don't need to go into our HR system and double check it.”

Plus, the integration process itself was seamless. Renata said, “We didn’t even need the technical team to help us integrate our HR system with TravelPerk. It was so easy.”

Renata shared how TravelPerk’s customer care and account management teams have helped significantly reduce her workload. “I no longer need to be a 24/7 support group all on my own”, she said. “Before, I had to work 24/7, no matter if it was the weekend or I had vacation. People always needed support, and they wouldn’t call the travel agency’s support line. I was the support line, and it was impossible to manage.”

Renata also appreciates how their account manager keeps them informed of new features that could benefit the business and help improve their processes. She said, “All of TravelPerk’s teams are very supportive. If you add a new feature, we know about it and we know about the product roadmap. We adapted the platform to our needs, but we still feel the support that TravelPerk gives us beyond implementation.” 
“We also have a lot of requirements — not just during the implementation, we have them continually since there are a lot of things that keep changing. Our account manager, Mar, has been very supportive during the implementation and still is now; I know I can always reach out to her and either she or someone else from the technical team will be able to support us.”
