Endiprev is an international wind turbine service provider with 8 offices around Europe and the US. As they offer specialized services for the maintenance, testing and commissioning of wind turbines and wind energy equipment – both onshore and offshore all around the globe – business travel is part of their daily business.
With nearly all of their employees and staff traveling on a frequent basis, Endiprev was searching for a way to manage this large group of travelers more effectively and save time at planning and booking business trips. As sustainability is a major topic within the company, they were also looking for a tool that would provide accurate information for ESG and sustainability reports. With TravelPerk, Endiprev has found a platform where they can do all of that.

Providing specialized services all around the world

Endiprev is active in over 35 countries around the world and supports wind energy operators with its expertise. Due to its activities in the field of wind turbine maintenance and commissioning, traveling is essential for the company. A large part of Endiprev’s trips is spent on the secondment of engineers and specialists who provide customers with advice and assistance directly on site.
In addition to the trips relevant to the customers, there is also a lot of internal business travel, as office members and support staff often travel back and forth between the different offices of Endiprev.
So regardless of the department, business trips are an important part of the company's operations.

The desire for overview and effectiveness

Before managing business travel with TravelPerk, Endiprev used many different platforms to book travel – online search engines, local travel agencies and direct bookings. With a large group of travelers and different bookings, the company's mobility and logistics team who handled all of it quickly lost track.
It was quite a challenge to manage all the bookings on several platforms of such a dynamic group like our own. It consumed time, resources, and budget.

Also, the communication between business travel responsibles and travelers was time-consuming, cumbersome and not very effective. In addition, the company's finance department also had problems with the invoicing of the trips. “We felt that we needed to improve and optimize our internal efficiency, not only from a travel management perspective, but also on the expense management," says Carla Gabriel.
In order to reorganize their business travel management and all related activities, the company decided to use TravelPerk for their future travel bookings in 2020.

Managing business travel and finances the easy way

A lot has changed in travel management since Endiprev started using TravelPerk. Office workers can now book trips by themselves – easily and in accordance with the guidelines that are integrated on the platform. The group booking feature helps Endiprev’s logistic and mobility team to quickly and easily arrange and book trips for many people at the same time, which is essential for the traveling engineer teams. Now that all aspects of business travel can be managed on a single platform, it is easier for everyone to keep an overview – may it be travelers looking for their travel details or managers looking for all the trips going on at the moment.
Thanks to integrations with several different financial software and a simple and effective approval process to each cost center, it is now also easier for the financial team to invoice all of the trips. This saves both travelers and employees of the finance department a lot of stress and time when booking business travel.

For more flexible and greener travel

As business travel is inherent to the company's activities, Endiprev is committed to sustainability. With TravelPerk, the company not only ensures that budgets are adhered to when booking travel, but also that ESG and sustainability guidelines are complied with.
Thanks to the detailed sustainability reports provided by TravelPerk the company maintains an overview of its environmental impact. “The sustainability reports offer an added benefit, especially for companies like ours, actively exploring sustainability opportunities on a global scale.”, says José Pedro Sousa, EHS Manager at Endiprev. And thanks to GreenPerk, the TravelPerk API for greener travel, Endiprev can not only see how big its CO2-footprint is, but also directly offset its carbon emissions for business travel. With GreenPerk the company offsetted 2,168,746 kg of CO2 in 2023 alone.

With the large number of trips that the employees of Endiprev undertake, a lot can go wrong and spontaneous changes of plan happen every now and then. When Endiprev still booked its trips through various service providers, cancellations were often complicated and expensive. With FlexiPerk, they have now found a solution that allows them to easily cancel their trips and get 80% of the costs refunded. This enables travelers to remain flexible and adjust their plans at any time wherever they are.  In 2023 Endiprev was able to recover around 66,000 € in refunds for non-refundable bookings thanks to FlexiPerk.
